Processing & Underwriting

What does it mean when your loan is being processed anyway? When your loan application and documentation have been submitted, our processing team will prepare your loan file to be submitted to the underwriter. Your loan processor will verify information in your application, such as your employment history, and make sure everything in your loan file is current and complete. An appraisal of your property will be performed at this time to determine the value of the property; if any inspections are required, they will be performed during this phase as well. Once all of these activities have been completed, everything will be packaged into a complete file that will give your loan the best chance to get approved.

If you have any questions during this time, you can reach out to us at any time since the processing of your loan is done right here, in our office.

Once the processing of your loan has completed, it will be sent to the underwriter. The underwriter will review your loan package to verify that it meets government and lender requirements. They will verify income calculations and supporting documentation that is required for your specific loan program. Once the underwriter has validated that all requirements have been met, they will issue an approval for your loan! At this point, you are ready to move to the final stage, closing.
